Due to the Russian attack, as of the morning of October 7, power supply problems are being recorded in several regions of Ukraine. At the same time, hourly power outage schedules are in effect in the Chernihiv region. This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo in Facebook.
"On the eve and already this day, Russia once again attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure. As a result, consumers in Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions are without power this morning. The situation in Sumy remains difficult. In Chernihiv region, the local regional power company has been forced to introduce hourly outages in two shifts," — the message says.
It is noted that emergency and restoration work is ongoing, but their implementation is complicated by air alarms. Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore the equipment damaged by the enemy to operation as soon as possible and restore power to all consumers.
"Electricity consumption remains high. Today, October 7, as of 9:30, it was at the same level as the previous day - Monday. The reason is cloudy weather in most regions. This causes low efficiency of household solar power plants and a corresponding increase in the level of energy consumption from the general network," — Ukrenergo emphasized.
The company also emphasized that there is still a need for economical electricity consumption. Ukrainians were urged not to turn on several powerful appliances at the same time during peak load hours on the power system — from 17:00 p.m. to 22:00 p.m.
