President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has updated the composition of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters, approving new members and dismissing one official. This became known from President's site Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to Decree No. 39/2026, the personnel of the Headquarters included:
Deputy Minister of Defense Sergey Boev;
Head of the President's Office Kirill Budanov;
Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Oleg Ivashchenko.
The decree also provides for the removal of S. Deinek from the headquarters.

This decision was made based on the proposal of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and in accordance with Article 8 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Defense of Ukraine".
New members of the Headquarters receive the authority to participate in key decisions regarding defense policy and coordination of military structures.
The decree comes into force from the date of its publication, and the changes in the composition of the General Staff already have practical significance for planning defense operations and ensuring state security.
Recall, on January 2, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree appointing Kyrylo Budanov as head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. Before that, he headed the Main Intelligence Directorate. And on January 5, the head of state, by a separate decree, introduced the newly appointed head of the OP, Kyrylo Budanov, to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
