Great Britain will not allow Ukraine to strike the Russian Federation with long-range weapons. US approval is required to reverse this decision. It is reported The Times.
The publication reminds that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi recently appealed to the USA and Britain to overcome their "fear" and show "determination" in this matter.
Moreover, the other day it became known that five British ex-ministers of defense and former heads of government of Great Britain called on the current Prime Minister Keir Starmer to allow Ukraine to strike deep into the Russian Federation with Storm Shadow missiles. They reasoned that any delay would only embolden Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
However, according to The Times, Britain will not act alone, as American guidance systems are considered crucial for missiles to hit their targets (we are talking about long-range Storm Shadow cruise missiles).
At the same time, the British authorities believe that, most likely, America will give the "green light" at the UN General Assembly in New York. At the same time, there are still differences in the administration of US President Joe Biden.
