On December 15, 4, candidates for 2024 vacant positions of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court and ten vacant positions of judges of the Appeals Chamber of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry passed the test to detect the level of cognitive abilities (IQ test).
We would like to remind you that according to the testing rules, candidates for the positions of VAKS and AP VAKS judges must score 75% of the maximum possible score in order to be admitted to the next stage of the competition.
That is, in order to overcome the stage of testing for cognitive abilities, candidates had to score 108,75 points out of 145 maximum possible points.
However, the result obtained on December 4 by applicants for the positions of judges of the Anti-Corruption Court turned out to be disappointing in general for the competition.
Candidates for VAX
So, out of 74 candidates for 15 positions of VAKS judges, only 25 (33,8%) candidates scored a passing score, i.e. a third. Accordingly, 49 applicants failed the test.
Candidates for the Chamber of Appeals of the VAKS
On December 4, 49 candidates for 10 vacant positions of judges of the Appeals Chamber of the VAKS were also tested for cognitive abilities. As a result, only 19 candidates (38,7%) scored a passing score.
What's next
The next stage of the competition is the implementation of a practical (model) task on the specialization of the anti-corruption court.
We will remind that even worse indicators, according to unofficial data, were obtained in November by candidates for 550 vacant positions of judges of appeal courts.
At the same time, candidates reported that the test tasks turned out to be much more difficult than they expected to see.
Then the cognitive ability testing was stopped due to technical problems with the developer of the testing program. Subsequently, the test results were canceled altogether.
