They met in the Oval Office, and Trump told Biden that "politics is hard." Trump also thanked Biden for the smooth transition of power, and the current president answered him: "You're welcome."
Jake Sullivan, the US president's national security adviser, said that until the end of his term, Biden will convince the newly elected President Trump and Congress, both chambers of which will most likely be controlled by the Republican Party, to continue supporting Ukraine in the war with Russia.
