American Abrams tanks were not very useful at the front in Ukraine. They were handed over to the Ukrainian US Army. This was announced by the National Security Adviser of the US President, Jake Sullivan, during the forum of national defense in the USA.
"When it comes to Abrams tanks, we sent Abrams tanks to Ukraine. These Abrams tanks are not actually used by units because it is not the most useful piece of equipment for them in this fight." said Sullivan.
He added that this assessment completely coincides with the conclusions of the American military.
Commenting on the training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets, the National Security Advisor to the US President stated that there is a limited number of pilots undergoing training. According to Sullivan, the reason for this is not that the United States is not ready to train them, but because "the Ukrainians do not have the pilots to develop the full potential of the F-16 in time."
Regarding ATACMS missiles and the authorization to strike Russian territory with them, Sullivan believes that this "not a panacea for war, just another option."
