The current drone attack on Moscow is an "absolutely fair response" to Russia's strikes on Ukraine, in particular, on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said. The Ukrainian leader stated this during a conversation with journalists.
"If Putin does not want to end this war, we will not sit quietly, we will respond. The response must be strong and fair. We do not want this war and never have. And we definitely do not want Ukraine to burn because of the enemy. However, if Ukraine burns, Moscow will burn too," — the head of state emphasized.
The president emphasized that “it is time to end the aggression, it is time to end this war.” According to him, since Moscow is not responding, it is necessary to increase pressure — such as long-range sanctions on Ukraine and other restrictions from Kyiv’s partners (in the energy, oil, gas, defense, banking system, shadow fleet).
"So that Russia feels that there is no point in fighting. So that the people of Russia begin to feel that one person is fighting — Putin, and the people are paying the price. In my opinion, everyone should put pressure on Putin — Ukrainians, Europeans, Americans, Russians," Zelenskyy said.
Recall that in the morning, powerful explosions shook the Russian capital Moscow. The authorities announced the alleged successful operation of air defense, but also confirmed the attack on the refinery - one of the key infrastructure facilities of the Russian Federation. The Agency resource writes that this attack was one of the largest and most intense.
President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the strike on the Moscow Oil Refinery. He noted that for the second time in a week, Ukraine's "long-range sanctions" have again reached the Moscow region, hitting an oil refinery in the Russian capital.
