The State Bureau of Investigation found the head of the State Environmental Inspection of the Carpathian District to have unsubstantiated assets worth more than 19 million hryvnias and initiated monitoring of the official's lifestyle. Based on the results of the monitoring, the official was notified of the suspicion of committing a crime qualified under Part 1 of Art. 368-5 of the Civil Code. It is noted that during 2020-2023, the official, members of his family and natural persons related to him acquired unsubstantiated assets worth UAH 19,3 million.
It is about:
- a 63 Mercedes-Benz G2023 AMG car worth UAH 9,4 million;
- 2021 Volkswagen Touareg car worth UAH 2,7 million;
- four apartments in Ivano-Frankivsk with a total cost of UAH 4,3 million;
- non-residential premises in Ivano-Frankivsk worth UAH 3 million;
Thus, the employee's wife became the owner of two expensive vehicles, without having sufficient funds for this from legal sources.
In addition, she acquired a non-residential premises with a total area of more than 208 square meters in Ivano-Frankivsk for allegedly UAH 596, which she later gave to her daughter. The real value of real estate is about UAH 3 million.
While the employee bought a three-room apartment with a total area of more than 82 square meters. m. The average cost of such accommodation is about one million hryvnias.
He also acquired a two-room apartment with a total area of 75,8 square meters. m, which he later gave to his daughter. The employee tried to prove that the apartment was purchased by the daughter. Regarding a one-room apartment with an area of 48 square meters. m worth UAH 486, it was "gifted" to the employee by a third party as a sign of gratitude. NAZK found out that the house was purchased on behalf of the employee himself, and its value exceeds UAH 1,2 million.
Taking into account all the expenses and legitimate income of the employee and his family members, NAZK established that they did not have the financial ability to purchase all the above-mentioned assets through legitimate income.
