Member of the Board of Directors of Naftogaz Vasyl Volodin was arrested. He is suspected of abuse and illegal gain, reported the NABU Daily.
The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has chosen a preventive measure for Vasyl Volodin, a member of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine. He was taken into custody until August 17 with the option of posting bail in the amount of UAH 20 million.
If Volodin posts bail, he will be released from custody, but he will be given a number of obligations: to appear at the first summons, not to leave Kyiv without permission, to report any change of residence or work, not to contact other defendants in the case and witnesses, to surrender his foreign passports, and to wear an electronic bracelet.
The investigation suspects that Volodin received an illegal benefit in the form of a discount on the purchase of housing in the capital. In addition, he is accused of abuse of office.
On the company website it is noted, that Vasyl Volodin has 20 years of experience in administrative positions in the public sector and business. For more than 7 years, he headed the Department of Legal Support of the National Commission for State Regulation in the Field of Communications and Informatization (2012-2019). In 2020-2022, he headed the Kyiv Regional State Administration. He graduated from the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv with a degree in International Relations.
