It's been more than two years since Apple updated its budget iPhone SE series. Despite the relatively powerful "stuffing", the smartphone looks very outdated, so the next budget smartphone will receive a serious redesign that will appeal to literally everyone.
Insider Fixed Focus Digital reports that the new iPhone SE will get the same back panel as the iPhone 16. This means that the phones will have an identical design for the back cover and the vertical camera unit. Previously, most of the rumors were about the use of the iPhone 13/14 case.
If the insider is confirmed, then the upcoming budget smartphone will be as relevant as the iPhone 16, but at the same time it will cost significantly less. Along with this, the new generation iPhone SE will get the same processor as the iPhone 16 - Apple A18, as evidenced by a recent Apple code leak.
Apple is reportedly targeting a sub-$500 starting price for the new iPhone SE, despite a number of rumors about upcoming innovations for a more affordable iPhone. Touch ID and the Home button will be replaced by Face ID and a notch on the display, while the size of the display will increase from 4,7 to 6,1 inches. Other expected features include a USB-C port and an Action button.
The estimated date of presentation of the new iPhone SE is spring 2025. All generations of the budget series of smartphones used to be released in March.
