Microsoft releases Copilot app for Mac

Microsoft

Microsoft has released a native Copilot app for macOS. Like the Windows version, it provides access to the AI assistant, allowing you to upload images, as well as create text and graphics. About this told edition of The Verge.

Copilot for macOS supports dark mode and has a quick activation command — Command + Space, similar to Alt + Space in Windows. The app is available for download now in the US, UK, and Canada. It will be released in other countries later. The iPad version has also been updated to support split-screen mode.

Additionally, iPhone and iPad users can sign in to Copilot with their Apple ID and upload text and PDF files to ask questions or get summaries. The automatic document summarization feature is coming soon to the macOS app.

Incidentally, the release of Copilot for macOS comes just days after Microsoft made Copilot Voice and Think Deeper free. Previously, these features had limits for users, but now Microsoft allows you to have long conversations with the AI assistant without restrictions.
