American billionaire, developer and right-hand man of President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, sold the X network to his own startup xAI for $45 billion. Musk also stated that the former Twitter has become “one of the most effective companies” in the world, and announced even more innovations in the work of the social network, designed to “accelerate the progress” of humanity.
On selling the company and implementing new solutions for the progress of the billionaire posted on his page on the X network on March 28.
"The future of xAI and X is interconnected. Today we officially take a step towards uniting data, models, compute, distribution and talent," — Musk wrote in his post.
According to the developer, the main goal of such a sale and the creation of a new symbiosis is to implement close integration of the platform with artificial intelligence technologies.
Both companies, according to Musk, are extremely progressive and effective. He calls his startup xAI “one of the leading laboratories” of AI on the planet, and the social network X — a “digital town square” where more than 600 million users come every day to find “true information” in real time.
"The combined company will provide billions of people with smarter and more meaningful experiences while staying true to our core mission of seeking truth and advancing knowledge," — Musk wrote.
