Apple has introduced updated MacBook Pro laptops powered by a new line of M4 processors — M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max — that provide higher performance and support for Apple Intelligence. About this reported the the press service of the company.

MacBook Pro with M4
The MacBook Pro is available in 14-inch and 16-inch versions, with the 14-inch laptops with the base M4 chip starting at $1. a Liquid Retina XDR display with up to 599 nits of brightness for SDR content and an improved Center Stage camera. Memory bandwidth is 4 GB/s.
The M4 MacBook Pro is said to be up to 1,8 times faster than the 13-inch MacBook Pro with the M1, for tasks like editing gigapixel photos, and even more demanding workloads like rendering complex scenes in Blender up to 3,4 times faster.
MacBook Pro with M4 Pro
The Apple M4 Pro is offered in configurations with 12 or 14 processor cores and 16 or 20 graphics cores, respectively, which are twice as powerful as the M4.
It is noted that the new MacBook Pro with M4 Pro is almost 3 times faster than the models with M1 Pro. Thanks to the M4 Pro, the new MacBook Pro gets a whopping 75% increase in memory bandwidth compared to the previous generation.
MacBook Pro with M4 Max
The new M4 Max offers 14 or 16 computing cores, which are complemented by 32- or 40-core graphics accelerators, respectively. In all cases, the chip is equipped with a 16-core neural engine.
Apple claims that with the M4 Max, the MacBook Pro delivers up to 3,5 times the performance of the M1 Max, handling heavy workloads such as visual effects, 3D animation and movie soundtracks. It also supports up to 128GB of unified storage.

In addition to improving chips and RAM, the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros with M4 Pro and M4 Max processors became Apple's first laptops with Thunderbolt 5 ports.
They are also equipped with an SD card slot, HDMI output and MagSafe. All three MacBook Pros are equipped with new 12-megapixel webcams with an extended viewing angle and a desktop capture function.
Also, as an option, each new product offers a new Liquid Retina XDR display with a nanotexture coating, which is capable of providing brightness up to 1000 cd/m2 when displaying normal content and up to 1600 cd/m2 in HDR.
The screen resolution is 3456×2234 pixels for the 16,2-inch model and 3024×1964 pixels for the 14,2-inch laptop.

Apple Intelligence allows you to improve texts, rewrite and edit them right in macOS. Also, integration with ChatGPT makes accessing powerful OpenAI models easy and convenient.

The base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M4 processor (already with 16GB of memory) still starts at $1.
Like previous models, MacBook Pro laptops with the M4 Pro will cost from $1 for the 999-inch version. The 14-inch starts at $16 again, but it has 2 GB of RAM in the base instead of the previous 499 GB in the MacBook Pro with the M24 Pro.
The MacBook Pro with the M4 Max processor costs from $3 for the 199-inch version, the 14-inch model starts at $16.
Sales of the updated MacBook Pro begin on November 8.
