Future Apple gadgets may receive multiple Action buttons that can be customized to your needs, according to new company patents. Patent noticed Patently Apple, depicts the phone with the Action button and two volume buttons highlighted on the left, as well as a 3D image of the phone on the screen.
According to the images, the new interface allows users to select each of the buttons and assign a function to it, just like it is done with the Action button. For example, the volume down button can be configured to call a favorite contact.

The drawings in the patent mainly show the iPhone. But Apple notes that the patent also applies to the iPad and Mac, so the customizable button could appear on many of the company's gadgets.

Like most Apple patents, this idea may not be implemented in the company's final products. However, it is evidence that the manufacturer has not lost interest in this technology.
Apple first demonstrated the Action Button in last year's iPhone 15 Pro line of smartphones. This button has become the biggest hardware update of the iPhone line in recent years.
Although this button does not contain any advanced technology, it is very useful. By default, the button acts as a direct replacement for the old mute switch. But in the settings, you can choose other actions for her, such as turning on the flashlight, starting the camera, or turning off the Do Not Disturb mode. The real power of the action button is unlocked when you combine it with Apple's Shortcut app. By customizing the button, you can create a calendar event or quick note with a single tap, Shazam a song without unlocking the screen, and more.
