In an interview with the ElitExpert agency, the well-known Odesa lawyer Artem Grushansky talked about the situation related to the legal protection of business in the conditions of instability caused by the war and the mobilization of workers.
"Unfortunately, business rights are currently not protected in any way. Moreover, in the context of the mobilization of workers, I would like to mention the currently discussed bill on "economic reservation". It is about the fact that the employer can pay 20 thousand hryvnias for each of his employees per month, and in this way they will have armor. If we are talking about a small or medium-sized business, then it is unlikely that any employer will go for it. After all, in addition to this amount, he also needs to pay taxes, a military levy, and in general, it will be such a round sum that it is easier for the employer to simply close his enterprise and fire the workers."
In addition, according to the lawyer, the expected increase in taxes will not save the situation in the economy.
"Global practice shows that with every increase in taxes, business simply goes into the shadows. Therefore, I believe that the increase in taxes will not lead to filling the budget, but on the contrary, to the opposite effect," the lawyer emphasized.
