Postponement from mobilization for parents with many children requires certain conditions, Odesa lawyer Artem Hrushanskiu told ElitExpert in a comment
He noted that according to Clause 3 of Art. 23 of the Law of Ukraine "On Mobilization Training and Mobilization", men who have three or more dependent children under the age of 18 have the right to postpone mobilization.
However, there are important clarifications:
Men who have arrears in alimony payments for more than three months will not receive a deferment.
Also, a postponement is not granted if the father does not live with the children and does not pay alimony. Just the fact of being recorded in the birth certificate is not enough for a postponement - the father must financially support his children.
If a man is raising an adopted child, but the biological father pays alimony, then such a conscript does not have the right to a deferment, since the child is dependent on the biological father.
