The Accounting Chamber of Ukraine revealed violations and shortcomings in 2024 totaling UAH 217,5 billion. About this said Head of the Accounting Chamber, Olga Pishchanska, referring to report for the past year.
The report details violations and shortcomings worth UAH 217,5 billion:
- inefficient management of budget funds and property, their inefficient use — UAH 205,5 billion;
- violations of budget and other legislation — UAH 8,7 billion;
- violations and shortcomings in the administration of the revenue part of the state budget - 3,3 billion hryvnias.
The Accounting Chamber found the largest number of violations in such areas as state security and defense and civil protection (184,4 billion UAH), the functioning of the economy (23,5 billion UAH), the exercise of powers by state bodies (3,8 billion UAH), and the use of natural resources and environmental protection (2,7 billion UAH).

According to Pishchanska, over UAH 4,6 billion in violations and shortcomings have already been eliminated thanks to audits.
She also noted that the Accounting Chamber analyzed not only the use of state budget funds, in particular those received as international aid, but also the progress of reforms related to the implementation of the Ukraine Facility plan.
