The Ministry of Economy should submit to the government proposals for disciplinary action against those guilty of violating the deadlines for implementing the Ukraine Facility steps (Ukraine Plan).
The Cabinet of Ministers, upon the proposal of Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko, adopted the corresponding protocol decision at a meeting on June 25.
It seems that Marchenko is very concerned about the "improper and untimely implementation of the steps" of the Plan of Ukraine (quantitative and qualitative steps to implement reforms). That is why he initiated, and the government supported, that all steps of the Plan, which are foreseen for the first and second quarters of 2025, be implemented by the relevant state authorities by July 15.
As already noted, the Ministry of Economy will form lists of persons responsible for violating the deadlines for implementing the Plan of Ukraine. They will be held disciplinary accountable.
"The Ministry of Economy shall immediately inform the Cabinet of Ministers in the event of a risk of not receiving financing under the Ukraine Facility", – is stated in the protocol decision.
The Ukraine Facility is a financial support program for Ukraine from the EU. During 2024-2027, the EU will allocate 50 billion euros to finance the state budget, stimulate investments, and provide technical support in the implementation of the program.
The condition for receiving these funds is the implementation of reforms, which, judging by Marchenko's proposal, Ukraine has problems with.
