The Cabinet of Ministers today approved a bill on amendments to the State Budget for 2025. It provides for additional funding for the security and defense sector. About this in Telegram said People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak, having published a relevant document.
According to the document, it is proposed to increase the expenditures of the general fund of the state budget by 317 billion hryvnias. Most of this will be directed to financing the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Funds are provided for:
- salaries of military personnel and other mandatory payments to personnel;
- procurement, modernization and repair of weapons, military equipment and equipment;
- development of the defense-industrial complex and introduction of new technologies in the defense sector.
The new bill also clarifies the main items of the state budget, increasing:
- total revenue – up to UAH 2,502 trillion;
- expenditures – up to UAH 4,654 trillion;
- state budget deficit – up to 2,184 trillion UAH.
The government will also have the right in November-December 2025 to redistribute general fund funds between budget programs in order to primarily ensure financing for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
