Russia begins preparations for lifting sanctions — Reuters

sanctions

Russia is asking companies to suggest what sanctions Moscow should try to lift in talks with Washington. About this reported the Reuters.

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has reportedly asked companies to report which sanctions have hurt them the most. One person said the ministry is distributing a form for companies to fill out, asking which sanctions have had the biggest impact on their business and identifying the most sensitive restrictions.

The people interviewed said payment issues were the most burdensome, although three sources also highlighted energy sanctions, including restrictions on the Russian oil tanker fleet.

When asked which sanctions Russia wants to ease, the Kremlin recently said it believes all sanctions “should be lifted.”

Recall that US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant stated that the United States is ready to impose sanctions against Russian energy without hesitation if this contributes to a ceasefire in the war in Ukraine.

As is known, Ukraine has agreed to a 30-day ceasefire proposed by the United States. White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt said that a US representative will travel to Moscow this week to negotiate a ceasefire in Ukraine.
