Unions are citing a June Citigroup report that said half of banking jobs will be cut due to automation.
"In the future, up to 54% of jobs in banking and 48% in insurance will be replaced by artificial intelligence. Cuts due to the integration of AI are expected to hit the financial services sector harder.” - says the document.
