In Ukraine, mobilized military personnel will be able to take out mortgages at 3% instead of 7%. The government has adopted a decision that equalizes their opportunities with those serving under a contract. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko and Ministry of Economy.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved Resolution No. 856, which updates the terms of the affordable mortgage "eOselya". The main change is that mobilized military personnel can now receive a loan at a preferential rate of 3%, which was previously available only to doctors, teachers, scientists, contract military personnel, and law enforcement officers.
Previously, mobilized people were offered a rate of 7%.
"In this way, we create equal opportunities - both for those mobilized and for those serving under contract," Sviridenko explained.
Housing area restrictions
To ensure that the program remains socially focused, clear limits have been set:
- apartment - up to 115,5 m²;
- house - up to 125,5 m².
These restrictions apply regardless of the number of people in the family and make it impossible to purchase excessively large housing.
How many families have already received housing?
During the period of operation of the e-Housing program, 21,864 Ukrainian families have purchased their own housing. The total amount of loans issued amounted to 37,4 billion hryvnias. 6,438 contract servicemen and veterans have already used the program.
The Prime Minister notes that despite the war, Ukrainians continue to buy housing in Ukraine, and the Government is adapting the program to the needs of the time.
