The Cabinet of Ministers has softened the electricity tariff for Ukrainians who use electric heating. About this said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
Consumers using electric heating installations will pay the full tariff of UAH 4,32 per kWh only for those volumes of electricity that exceed the limit of 2 thousand kWh.
For electricity consumed within the limit, they will pay at a rate of UAH 2,64 per kWh.
"During the heating season, the state ensured that the electricity tariff for the population remained unchanged at UAH 4,32 per kWh. A preferential tariff of UAH 2,64 was also provided for people who use electric heating installations. Until today, it applied to those who consume up to 2 thousand kWh of electricity per month. However, there are many people who consume more than this limit and were forced to pay the full tariff," — the Prime Minister emphasized.
According to Shmyhal, to eliminate such situations, the government adopted a resolution on the differentiation of the preferential tariff through the PSO mechanism (imposition of special obligations).
"This decision is part of the comprehensive support for Ukrainians that we are implementing this winter and which will continue after it ends," — the head of government emphasized.
