Russian oil product exports have fallen sharply

sanctions

Russian oil exports fell to their lowest level in eight months in June. About this write Bloomberg.

According to the analytical company Vortexa Ltd., seaborne shipments of petroleum products from Russia in the first twenty days of June amounted to two million barrels per day.

This is the lowest monthly figure since October and an 8% decrease compared to May and the same period last year. The largest drop, over 15%, was recorded in Baltic ports, which is associated with ongoing refinery shutdowns.

Crude oil refining rates increased this month as seasonal refinery maintenance was completed. However, the volumes available for export remain limited due to government initiatives to increase stocks for domestic consumption in agriculture and during the summer tourist season.

At the same time, exports of diesel and gas oil increased by 1% compared to May, to about one million barrels per day, mainly due to additional shipments from Novorossiysk to Turkey.

Crude oil exports fell 15% to XNUMX barrels per day, the lowest level this year, due to maintenance disruptions at a key Pacific port and reduced shipments from the Baltic Sea.

Fuel oil became the main factor in the decrease in petroleum product exports - its shipments decreased by 16% to five hundred and thirty-seven thousand barrels per day, although deliveries to Africa, in particular to Egypt, increased significantly.

Refinery feedstocks such as vacuum gas oil surged 84% to XNUMX barrels per day, the highest level since November. Meanwhile, gasoline and blending exports remained below XNUMX barrels per day, while jet fuel fell to a nine-month low of XNUMX barrels per day, reflecting a focus on domestic supplies.
