Labor shortages due to attrition and/or departures are again a top concern for businesses, with the share of companies reporting this obstacle reaching an all-time high of 64% in November, compared to 57% in October and 61% in September.

"At the same time, the problem of finding qualified workers is growing. On the one hand, there is a limited supply, but we also see an increase in the demand for labor force, which is a very positive signal and indicates a recovery, at least not a deterioration of economic activity." - commented the director of IED Oksana Kuzyakiv.
Regarding the difficulty of finding qualified workers, 55,5% of respondents said that, after 51,9% in October. And unqualified staff is hard to find in 38,9% of businesses after 34,8% in October.
In the labor market, most enterprises do not plan any changes, although positive phenomena are noticeable: the share of enterprises with plans to increase employment in the next three to four months continued to grow - from 13,8% to 14,1%, and the share of businesses that plan to increase the number of employees continued to grow in forced vacations, decreased from 14,4% to 4,2%.
As for obstacles, the top three remained the same as in October, although in a different order.
"It's dangerous to work" in our country in second place. On the third line - "increase in prices for raw materials, materials and goods." The value of this indicator increased from 43% to 48%, possibly due to inflationary expectations." — stated Yevhen Angel, a senior researcher at the IED.
